The next hybrid DC CTO Roundtable – Chat with our Data – will be held on Wednesday, May 31st from 2 PM – 4 PM ET (followed by a Happy Hour). We are collaborating with the StepStone Group to learn from leading-edge thinkers in the space.

All our news and social media feeds are inundated with talk of OpenAI, ChatGPT, and Generative AI. The successes and promise of GenAI are remarkable – ChatGPT can pass the US Medical Licensing Exam, score in the 90^th percentile on the Bar Exam and pass a level 3 technical coding interview for Google’s engineering team.

It remains to be seen how deeply GenAI will affect our day-to-day lives, and whether its promise will translate into real, lasting impact in the Enterprise. We must stay well informed on evolving trends to fully appreciate the opportunities and limitations of GenAI. To that end, we plan to host several CTO Roundtables this year to understand and discuss the implications of this fast-evolving technology.

The first one in the series: Chat with our Data – will feature a couple of companies actively working with these technologies to deliver new Enterprise products to the market. During the session, we will cover:

1. VC GenAI market overview by Huff Millard, Director at StepStone Group. StepStone is a $30Bn AUM Venture Capital Investment platform that partners with leading venture funds & top-performing portfolio companies. StepStone’s investments include Cloudflare, DocuSign, and ExactTarget.
2. Introduction to DataDistillr, a data tooling platform that allows users to access data from disparate sources through a single, simple SQL query. DataDistillr is leveraging ChatGPT to enable sophisticated SQL queries through plain language user requests. DataDistillr’s CEO – Charles Givre – will explain how he’s building enterprise use cases with ChatGPT and provide his view on the future of Generative AI technology.
3. Introduction to Viable, a qualitative data analysis platform that leverages ChatGPT to deliver succinct, customer feedback to business users. Viable’s co-founders – Daniel and Jeffrey Erickson – will let us under-the-hood, and show how they’re using ChatGPT to enable non-technical business leaders to access key insights. The Viable team will participate Virtually.
